What is Simple Pressure Vessels Directive (SPVD) 2014/29/EU
Simple Pressure Vessels Directive (SPVD) 2014/29/EU establishes the essential safety requirements for the design, manufacture and conformity assessment of serially manufactured welded simple pressure vessels intended to be placed on the European Union Market. The Directive specifies the requirements for CE Marking, manufacturing quality, material traceability, inspection, testing and technical documentation in accordance with the European legislation.
The directive applies to serially produced welded simple pressure vessels designed to contain air or nitrogen under pressure. It includes requirements for manufacturing processes, welding, pressure testing, inspection and conformity assessment in accordance with the applicable provision of the Directive.
SPVD 2014/29/EU is applicable to the manufactures of air receivers, compressed air tanks, pressure vessels and similar welded pressure equipment within its scope. PRVÁ ZVÁRAČSKÁ, a. s. Notified Body No.2408, performs conformity assessment in accordance with the applicable provisions of the SPVD.Successful conformity assessment provided independent verification that the product confirms to the applicable requirement for CE Marking under the Directive.
